Bernardo Gutiérrez de la Roza Named Citizen of the Year in Oviedo

Bernardo Gutiérrez de la Roza, ONTIER CEO, was named citizen of the year 2017 in Oviedo. The jury met yesterday to deliberate and announce a final decision, highlighting “the humanity and professionalism” of the awardee and 'his background as an entrepreneur in adventurous initiatives that dignify him as a role model for persistence.”

Bernardo Gutiérrez de la Roza is CEO and Founder at ONTIER, where he was also Managing Partner until 2012.

He got a BA in Law by the University of Oviedo and an Executive MBA by the IE, where he currently lectures in Bankruptcy and Family Business Succession. Specialised in Corporate consultancy, he’s been acknowledged as a leading lawyer in the areas of insolvency and restructuring by prestigious international legal rankings like Chambers Global and Chambers Europe 2015, in which he’s shortlisted in Band 2. Furthermore, Bernardo also has an extensive background within the energy sector, especially in regards to renewable energies. He’s Counsellor at both the Spanish and the American Chambers of Commerce, Counsellor at the Spanish Association for Executive Development (APD) and Counsellor and Secretary at the Asturian Federation of Business Owners (FADE).
